Tilly was our family's first Aussie. We could not have asked for a better first Aussie to have! She was simply amazing. Tilly was major pointed in ASCA and AKC conformation. She was also Kalla's first junior showmanship and obedience partner. She whelped 3 litters and was a very tolerant mother. Tilly lived a long and happy life with us.

Fancy was truly an awesome dog.  She was sound of body and mind and was responsible for producing some of the coolest dogs that have been at Regatta. Fancy was major pointed in ASCA conformation.

It is unfortunate that we did not complete Tilly's or Fancy's training and titles. Something I did not have when I started out was a good mentor; and I cannot express enough the importance of acquiring a good "mentor" if you are starting out in any breed. It's not just about breeding litters. A good mentor will guide you through the world of dogs and all its in's and out's. Ask around. There are many good mentors out there.

Fly was a great dog. She was independant and opinionated! We did training with her in obedience and stock but didn't do much competition. She was placed with a wonderful couple, Tom Lunt and Lisa Dartt in Chicago, where she lived a pampered life.

Once you met Harken, you never forgot him. He was always barking, always grinning, always licking, always happy and full of life. He was ever ready and willing to do all that you asked of him and more. He taught us patience, humility, and to have a sense of humor in everything that we do. He always kept us on our toes and Kalla got to where she did in junior showmanship because of lessons learned through him.

He loved to bark - many people knew him as Barkin' Harken. He loved the water and he used to stand on the edge of the pier and bark relentlessly before he jumped in, filled to the brim with excitement. He loved to fetch and catch the Frisbee - he also loved a broken hula-hoop that Christopher used to swing him around on. Harken was a food hound - he used to stick his nose in the crack of the door and blow out, making a loud noise, whenever he deemed it dinner time. Harken was well known for his ability to display the Aussie grin. Harken was one of the most beautiful dogs we have ever known. He was stunning, inside and out. He was our good boy for 13 wonderful years and, though things got rough for him at the end of his life, we will always remember him for his gentle soul.

Kira was a total blast! She competed in conformation, obedience, agility, and stock. She was bossy, opinionated, controlling, and hilarious - typical Aussie! After Kira retired from showing we placed her with the Chylla family in Wisconsin. Kira was the only dog in the household and got treated like a complete princess - just like she always wanted!

Kevlar was a favorite of ours. He finished his ASCA Championship quickly and was an incredibly handsome and correct dog. Kevlar had a great deal of drive and was always eager to go to work or play. He was an excellent partner for Kalla in the Junior Showmanship ring. We placed Kevlar because we wanted a different focus for our breeding program. Kevlar lived the remainder of his life with Amy Rogers and her family in Houston, Texas. They competed with him in conformation and flyball, and with her son in junior showmanship.

Four was a once-in-a-lifetime dog. He and Betty bonded deeply and the loss of him is still hard to bear. Everyone who met Four instantly fell in love with him. He was stunning to look at and very correct, with flawless movement. A judge once commented that you could "balance a teacup" on his topline while he moved - no rolling there! Four was awarded Reserve Winners Dog at the ASCA Nationals in Georgia under SBJ Victoria Mistretta - it was quite an honor. Four was on the fast track to a successful career when he tragically took ill with an autoimmune disease and died soon after. He is missed so very much by us all.

Ele was Kalla's heart and soul dog - best friends from the start. Kalla and Ele bonded while Ele was just a few weeks old and their relationship grew stronger every day. Ele was a slow-maturing, but beautiful girl who showed a great deal of potential. She trained in conformation, obedience, agility, and stock - Kalla had plans to debut her in all programs at the 2003 ASCA Nationals. Unfortunately, she tragically and suddenly passed in June 2003 from what we now suspect was hemangiosarcoma. At the time, the cause was unknown. She is greatly missed.

Cody is a really great dog, but he just wasn't the right fit for our home. He trained in conformation and obedience, and did a small amount of competition. We placed him with John on a huge Angus ranch in Kentucky - and it was where he was always meant to be. Cody bonded with John deeply and found his place living the happy farm dog life.
